Happy 7 months to Corbin and Lynley. They have really hit a growth spurt this month, and both babies are little giggle boxes!
FEET! |
Corbin weighs about 15 pounds! He is wearing size 3 diapers and 3 to 6 month and some 6 month clothes. He can sit up for short periods of time and constantly practices his crawling skills, although they haven’t quite come together yet. He laughs all the time and smiles so big! He has really discovered his feet, and always has a toe in his mouth. My favorite thing this month for Corbin is hugging. He is so sweet when he wakes up in the morning and just lets me hug and kiss all over him. He puts his arm around my neck too and lays his head on my shoulder. Other favorite thing… finally getting interested in the spoon! He eats solids twice a day, sometimes 3, and drinks 35 oz of milk a day. Corbin is beginning to look more like his former self again with a fuller head of hair! I’m enjoying being able to give him a little fauxhawk again. Now, if only his sister would grow hair!
Such a pretty pic! I wish it weren’t so blurry. |
Lynley is still a little petite thing, weighing about 12 to 12.5 pounds. She is still in size 2 diapers, but finally wearing 3 to 6 month tops, although they are a little big, and 3 month bottoms. She can wear some 6 month dresses, but shirts and bottoms are way huge on her. She eats solids 2 to 3 times a day and drinks 30 oz of milk. She has just started holding her own bottle, and I am trying to introduce her to the sippy cup. She’s not a fan yet, but we’re working on it. She sits up on her own and can hold her balance for a good while until she lurches forward to try to crawl. Remember this post? She still hasn’t learned that you have to lift your head up, but I help her out every day, and she is making progress. My favorite thing for Lynley this month is that she no longer needs reflux meds and is not spitting up much at all anymore!
C: Give me your foot! L: Come back, I want to eat your ear! |
They are both teething, but so far the two little bottom, front teeth have not made an appearance yet on either mouth! Derrick and I remain on tooth watch and pray these suckers come out to play soon. I know the babies will be glad too. They are both also becoming more aware of each other and each others feet and hands! Corbin constantly tries to put Lynley’s feet in his mouth, and Lynley just tries to grab at him anywhere. I notice them smiling at each other a lot, and I keep waiting for the babbling to each other to start. Right now, they just babble to me and their Daddy and to themselves. The sweetest thing they both have started doing when they “talk” to us is explore our faces. There is nothing in the world like the touch of tiny hands caressing your face. It warms my heart!
