It was such a breezy and sunny day in Austin, so I decided to take the babies outside for a change. And not just a walk in the stroller. We tried out our new tent from One Step Ahead. It pops up with one flick of the wrist, and folds back into itself for storage in a backpack. Simple and practical. It can be used in the yard, at the beach, the park. You name it! We also bought the striped blanket pictured. It’s very soft and rolls up for closure with a velcro strip and has a strap to make it easier to carry around.
The babies loved being outdoors! I should of done this sooner. We played with toys and practiced sitting up. We tickled tummies and toes and sang songs. It was the perfect day, and I can’t wait to do it again tomorrow!

And don’t worry, it didn’t hurt her! The blanket is very plush and the grass was too.
What’s great about the tent too, that I forgot to mention, is that you don’t necessarily have to use stakes to keep it tied down, although it comes with them. There are pockets on each side that you can weigh down with bean bags, weights, etc.
