Can’t believe it’s been 20 weeks already! We’re halfway there, and the nesting is setting in. We’ve shampooed carpets, thrown out junk and had a deep cleaning done on our house. Registries have been done and we’re in full preparation mode. We’ve already started working with Jeep on not being such a shadow! Poor buddy, it’s hard to make him leave our side, but I’m pretty sure I’d trip over him carrying a baby if we don’t break him of this now. And just so you don’t think I’m a mean mommy to my “first-born”, here’s a really cute picture of Jeep with a rubber chicken I bought him last week. He is hilarious with it.
The babies are going through a growth spurt right now and have become much more active. I feel them all the time, and Derrick has begun to feel movement here and there. Check out my 20 week picture. I look much bigger than 2 weeks ago. Grow babies, grow!
Sorry no bare belly this week. I didn’t feel like changing out of my dress, plus it’s getting scary! |
How far along? 20 weeks
Weight gain/loss: Up about 15 lbs.
Feeling: Tired much more often, but otherwise pretty good.
Maternity clothes? Finally wearing a few maternity pieces and still squeezing into some of my regular clothes. I’m excited about my new skirts that I found on clearance at Motherhood Maternity, and I also scored some dressy t-shirts from Target for $3 each with my coupons.
Sleep: Tossing and turning most of the night and getting up to use the bathroom much more.
Food cravings: No real cravings, although I did down a little pint of Neapolitan ice cream in about 10 minutes the other day. I really should get some more of that…
Movement? Yes! Baby girl likes to flip all around, and I especially feel her when I get up out of bed. Baby boy is quitter, and I feel small movements from him normally after I eat and around bedtime.
Best moment this week: Derrick feeling a big kick and his face lighting up.
What I’m looking forward to: Decorating the nursery this month.
