Traveling with babies is exhausting! Fun, but so very tiring, and we definitely feel like we’ve aged about ten years. So this will largely be a photo dump! We took advantage of the extended weekend for Independence Day and had a little family reunion.
Chris and Levi, Katrena and Lynley, Me and Corbin |
My parents, Granny and sister drove to Austin, Tx from Orange, Tx to meet up with Derrick, the babies and me. We then all drove to Ft. Stockton, Tx to meet up with my brother, his wife and baby, who came from El Paso, Tx. Lots of driving for a short visit, but this was the first time most of us were meeting the newest addition to our family, Levi. He was born in May, six months after the twins.
We hadn’t seen Christopher and Meghan since Christmas because Chris in the Army, and this was the first opportunity for all of us to meet up with them and get new baby sugars! And Levi is a doll. Thank goodness there were plenty of babies to pass around because we all couldn’t stop cooing and cawing about how cute they are. Don’t you agree?
All my babies! Lynely, my nephew, Levi and Corbin |
Derrick, me and my sister took Corbin and Lynley to the pool while we were there. And my mom captured some great photos. We were so excited about it being indoors because we didn’t even need sunscreen. They only lasted about 10 minutes before they got too cold, but they absolutely loved it! Corbin splashed everyone, and Lynley loved trying to float. I was surprisingly calm about the whole thing. I thought I would be freaking out about it, but it was fun. Next summer, we plan on putting them in infant swim lessons. I think I will sign up for the adult class too. It’s been long overdue that I overcome my nervousness about water. I don’t really have a fear of it, but after a tragedy in my family almost 13 years ago, I’ve been wary about swimming. Nothing is more important to me than water safety for my children, so I need to be a good example for them by learning to swim properly myself. I want to feel confident that I could save them if something terrible happened.
On a happier note…. here’s the photo dump! Be sure to visit our blog tomorrow for tips on traveling with babies and small children. We put them to use, and they are magic.
Lynely loved “grabbing the water.” She tried to face plant a few times too! |
Look at that pot belly! |
Corbin loved splashing his Nini! Priceless photo. |

Your babies are just adorable – love the pics! Sadly, my toddler will have nothing to do with the pool! Here from Hump Day.

Hi Tarana! Thanks for visiting. I have a 2 yr old niece that wants nothing to do with water, not even a bath! Hope they outgrow it!
