As Corbin and Lynley grow, it’s increasingly difficult to keep them entertained. During bath time it’s vital to keep their focus on the task at hand and to remain sitting down to avoid a slip that could be painful, or worse, land them in the ER.
Our most recent favorites are two toys from Nuby. The Tub Time Turtle and the Splish Splash Stacking Cups.
Corbin and Lynley recently developed a new love for water animals. Corbin absolutely loves ducks and Lynley really likes frogs and fishies. We’ve been working identifying turtles as well, and it’s been fun teaching them about creatures that swim, especially since they are currently taking their first set of swimming lessons. The Tub Time Turtle is perfect for little hands to hold. The straining feature is great for teaching little ones about waterfalls and filling up and pouring out. It also floats on the surface, which the babies really like.
When searching for other bath toys, the Splish Splash Stacking Cups were a no-brainer for us. The twins love their set of regular rainbow stacking cups, so I knew they would enjoy these. I like the fact that these are colorful and feature different shape cut-outs on the bottom of the cups and patterns and patterns on the outside. This makes bath time an opportunity for more in-depth learning. To take the educational value of this product a step further, each cup has a different amount of holes on the bottom to let water out, which makes for a fun counting lesson. These cups also make a good potty time occupier!
