Almost 3 months!

Wow, I’ve been slacking on the updates. Corbin and Lynley are in their 12th week of life, and we’ll take official 3 month photos in about a week. I want to do another photo shoot like we did for Christmas, but I’m stumped on ideas for poses and props. I’m open to suggestions, so send me your ideas! (think of things I’ll already have around the house since we can’t go anywhere!)

Alright, on to stats. Last post, I told you guys about Corbin rolling over. Well, it’s been really random since that first rollover. Sometimes he can and sometimes he can’t, but it’s really cute watching him try. He weighs around 9.5 to 10 pounds and can wear some 3 month onesies. Newborn onesies and pj’s are beginning to get tight and short, but the 3 month pj’s are too big. He’s wearing size 1 diapers and drinking 3 and 1/2 ounces of breastmilk from a level 2 bottle. He can smile, lift his head and hold it up for very short amounts of time, and grab things, like mommy’s hair! Doesn’t enjoy the swing, likes tummy time and the play mat.

Lynley has started to roll over too! A normal roll. None of that tight legged side to side rolling that concerns the Dr! She hasn’t done that in a long time. The biggest update with her is that we had to introduce formula to help with the vomiting. She gets 2ounces formula and one ounce breastmilk. It’s been 2 weeks and she has done much better. She is more relaxed and doesn’t throw up… at least at first. The last few days have been up and down. I’ve noticed red bumps on her chest and back and behind her ears since we switched her. I thought it was from her spitting up on her bib and us not changing it often enough, but I’ve kept her dry and they haven’t gone away. Then I thought heat rash. Still hasn’t gone away. So I think she might be allergic to the formula. She has some other symptoms of an allergy, so I scheduled an appt. tomorrow to get it checked out. Even on the formula she spits up quite a bit, but it’s much better than before. I just think we can do even better, so hopefully we find a new formula to try out. She doesn’t like to play or do face time as much as Corbin, and I think this is due to her still being uncomfortable with her digestion. She weighs more than 7 pounds by my estimates, can smile, lift and hold her head up. Also likes to pull mommy’s hair. Still wearing newborn diapers and newborn clothes. She’s trying to catch her brother, but I don’t see 3 month clothes happening for a while. Loves the swing, tolerates the play mat for short amounts of time.

This weekend, we had some pretty nice weather, so we took the babies on their first walk! It was just to the community mailbox and back (about 1/4 mi) but hey, it’s a start. I am looking forward to being able to get them out for a daily walk when the weather warms up. I’m sure Jeep would love that too. It’s been difficult to remember to interact with him too because I’m so busy with the babies. I feel horrible about that, but I barely  have a free moment to brush my teeth. I have made myself a goal to try to throw the ball with him everyday, and I hope I can stick to it.

We really like the Baby Bjorns!
Gangstas!

This weekend I’m introducing the babies to their great granny! I’m so excited for her to meet them. My mom and sister are also going to be in town, so it will be nice to have some extra hands. After Christmas they got to meet their Papa, Uncle Hayden and a few friends. We are slowly introducing them to everyone, but I still like to stagger the visits and am very strict about sicklings, especially with the flu outbreak! I had runny nose and drainage myself for about a week, so we’ve been lucky the little ones and Derrick haven’t caught anything. I’m so scared they will, but we are doing everything we can to prevent it.

I almost forgot! We started crib training. Stay tuned for another post. This one is long enough.
