I feel rejuvenated, fresh, pretty…. to sum it all up, DARN GOOD! I finally used my birthday gift certificate for a massage, facial, and mani/pedi from Derrick’s parents. My birthday was back in February, but I have had zero time to redeem my day at the spa. I actually had to reschedule it twice!

I absolutely love mani/pedis and am growing to love facials. This was my second one ever, and I just feel so fresh. I purchased two of the products she used and am looking forward to giving myself a mini, at-home facial. Both products are from a line called Glo Therapeutics, and I bought the Pumpkin Enzyme Scrub and Soothing Gel Mask. The pumpkin scrub smells so good! Pumpkin is one of my all time favorite scents, and I loved the light feel of this exfoliant. It wasn’t harsh, like some can be. The soothing gel mask was ah-mazing! After the first swipe she put on my face, I immediately asked, “What is this one!?!” There is no better word to describe it but its name: soothing. It’s soft and cool, and I really like that it doesn’t make your face feel greasy. Definitely give both of these a try if you’re in the market for some new facial products.

I had high hopes for my manicure, but I didn’t stick to my plan. I’m actually kind of disappointed I didn’t bring my own colors too because their selection was pitiful! I saw this awesome pin on Pinterest featuring chevron, glitter nails. I had all intentions of requesting this, but I backed out of the idea since I was running a bit late and knew I’d probably have to supply the colors. I don’t have a silver glitter polish, and there was no time to buy one before my 9:00 a.m. appointment. So instead, I have nude nails. So sad. I’m not lying when I tell you that this was my best option out of the yucky oranges, reds and pinks they had. It was like an old lady’s polish collection, seriously! They need to invest in some Essie brand colors STAT!
