Weekend in iPhone pictures

We’re still alive and kicking! It’s just been a busy weekend. Here’s a look in iPhone pictures of what we’ve been up to.

We went to the Austin Zoo again with our best friends and their little boy. They were kind enough to snap this photo of us on our first train ride with Corbin and Lynley! It was so fun, and I know there are many more rides in our future.
Check out this guy who was prancing and showing off for the lady peacocks. Birds are so funny! He actually was shaking his feathers, and it sounded like a rattle. Derrick wouldn’t let me get any closer. Scaredy Cat!

We read our Sesame Street book about the Zoo earlier in the week in anticipation for Sunday. Lynley was more interested in Daddy, and my phone, than the animals in the book!

Corbin and I watched the rain fall one breezy, stormy morning.

And last, but not least, I rocked a poofy, side ponytail and a summer scarf Saturday. Only about, oh a dozen people looked at me like I was crazy for wearing a scarf in 108 degree weather. I did get two compliments as well. What do you think? Is this trend something you would try, or do you think people are silly for wearing them when it’s hot out? (You can find a hair tutorial of a version of this hairstyle on my “Hair and Beauty” Pinterest board.)

Hi Blair! Thanks for following! I’m a follower of yours on facebook and now Bloglovin’. Every time I see you in my feed, I think it says Baby for SALE. Haha

And, I agree! They do way overcompensate with the a/c. When I had an office at the Capitol, I used a lap blanket and had a heater under my desk!

I love all the pictures! Do you have a favorite book to read to Linley and Corbin?
I think one can wear anything at anytime. And if you get a look from someone a smile is always good to have in your pocket.
Here in Thailand many people wear beanies and jackets simply because they want to look fashionable no matter how boiling hot it is. And I understood them after I started to miss my non-summer clothes.
Being different means being different… but being fun at the same time!
